CALCASA

The California Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CALCASA) is a statewide coalition of rape crisis centers and prevention programs founded in 1980. CALCASA provides leadership, vision and resources to rape crisis centers, individuals and other entities committed to ending sexual violence. CALCASA is collaborating with WCADV/NCALL and the National Association of Adult Protective Services Administrators (NAAPSA) to develop materials and protocols and provide training and technical assistance for state and local domestic violence and sexual assault programs and coalitions, elder abuse, aging and adult protective services systems regarding domestic violence and sexual assault in later life and against people with disabilities.

Office on Violence Against Women

Since its inception in 1995, the Violence Against Women Office, now the Office on Violence Against Women (the Office) has handled the Department's legal and policy issues regarding violence against women, coordinated Departmental efforts, provided national and international leadership, received international visitors interested in learning about the federal government's role in addressing violence against women, and responded to requests for information regarding violence against women.
